Cassipa (buprenorphine and naloxone sublingual film)

Cassipa (buprenorphine and naloxone) contains a partial-opioid agonist and an opioid antagonist and is indicated for the maintenance treatment of opioid dependence. Cassipa should be used as part of a complete treatment plan to include counseling and psychological support.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • upper stomach pain,
  • loss of appetite,
  • dark urine,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • confusion,
  • clay-colored stools,
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • dizziness,
  • blurred vision,
  • sweating,
  • agitation,
  • shivering,
  • runny nose,
  • slurred speech,
  • hallucinations,
  • twitching,
  • fast heart rate,
  • weak or shallow breathing,
  • loss of coordination,
  • blue colored lips,
  • muscle stiffness,
  • extreme weakness,
  • slow breathing with long pauses,
  • breathing that stops during sleep,
  • difficulty to arouse,
  • worsening tiredness or weakness,
  • goose bumps,
  • increased sweating,
  • feeling hot or cold,
  • watery eyes, and
  • muscle pain
