Marcaine (bupivacaine hydrochloride and epinephrine injection)

Marcaine (bupivacaine hydrochloride) Injection is an anesthetic (numbing medicine) used as a local (in one area) anesthetic for a spinal block. Marcaine is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • dizziness,
  • vomiting,
  • restlessness,
  • anxiety,
  • back pain,
  • ringing in the ears,
  • blurred vision, or
  • chills or shivering,
  • problems with sexual function,
  • tremors.
