Bupap (butalbital and acetaminophen tablets) is a combination of a barbiturate with a non-opiate, non-salicylate analgesic and antipyretic indicated for the relief of the symptom complex of tension (or muscle contraction) headache.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • upper stomach pain,
  • loss of appetite,
  • itching,
  • dark urine,
  • clay-colored stools, and
  • yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
  • lightheadedness,
  • confusion,
  • tiredness,
  • seizure,
  • agitation,
  • restlessness,
  • depression,
  • fast or pounding heartbeats,
  • excitement,
  • skin redness or a rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
