Prolensa (bromfenac) is a nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drug (NSAID) used to treat eye pain that arises as the result of cataract surgery.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • severe dizziness
  • blurry vision,
  • severe pain, redness in the eye,
  • sensitivity of the eyes to light,
  • eye discharge,
  • feeling as if something is in the eye,
  • itching, redness, or pain around the eyes, and
The following drugs are related to Prolensa, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Dextenza (dexamethasone ophthalmic insert)
  • Voltaren Ophthalmic (diclofenac sodium ophthalmic solution)
