Briviact (brivaracetam) is an antiepileptic drug (AED) indicated as adjunctive therapy in the treatment of partial-onset seizures in patients 16 years of age and older with epilepsy.

The drug is often used to treat Epilepsy .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • fever,
  • lightheadedness,
  • dizziness,
  • dry mouth,
  • cough,
  • noisy breathing,
  • restlessness,
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • fast or shallow breathing,
  • mood changes,
  • drowsiness,
  • irregular heartbeat,
  • anxiety,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • thoughts of self-harm,
  • irritability,
  • unusual drowsiness,
  • spinning sensation,
  • difficulty swallowing,
  • double vision,
  • general feeling of unwellness,
  • numbness of feet, hands, and around mouth,
  • sleepiness,
  • unusually long or deep sleep,
  • reddening of the skin, especially around the ears,
  • shakiness, and
  • poor coordination or muscle control
