Rexulti (brexpiprazole tablets)
type of Serotonin-Dopamine Activity Modulators (SDAM)
Rexulti (brexpiprazole) is an atypical antipsychotic indicated for use as an adjunctive therapy to antidepressants for the treatment of major depressive disorder (MDD), for treatment of schizophrenia in adults and pediatric patients ages 13 years and older, and for treatment of agitation associated with dementia due to Alzheimer’s disease.
The drug is often used to treat Dementia , Schizophrenia .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- lightheadedness,
- weight loss,
- confusion,
- vision problems,
- blurred vision,
- weight gain,
- fatigue,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- slurred speech,
- trouble walking,
- seizures
- fainting, and
- high blood sugar,
- high or low blood pressure,
- very high fever,
- fast heart beats,
- difficulty speaking (and being understood),
- sudden weakness on one side of the body,
- irregular pulse,
- increased breathing,
- stiff (rigid) muscles,
- altered mental status,
- involuntary muscle movements (grimacing or eye blinking),
- too high or low blood lipid levels,
- other compulsive behaviors,
- abnormal blood tests (low white blood cell counts),
