Brevicon (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol tablets)

Brevicon (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol) is a combination of female hormones used as contraception to prevent pregnancy. Brevicon is also used to treat severe acne.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- vomiting
- headache
- dizziness
- changes in your menstrual periods, or
- decreased sex drive
- vaginal itching or discharge
- breast swelling or tenderness
- nausea (especially when you first start taking Brevicon)
- bloating
- stomach cramps
- appetite or weight changes
- nipple discharge
- nervousness
- problems with contact lenses
- freckles or darkening of facial skin
- loss of scalp hair
- increased hair growth
The following drugs are related to Brevicon, either as a replacement or used together:
- Depo-Provera (medroxyprogesterone)
- Orsythia (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets)
- Tri-Linyah (norgestimate and ethinyl estradiol tablets)
