Botox (botulinum toxin type a)
type of Neuromuscular Blockers, Depolarizing, Botulinum Toxins
Botox (onabotulinumtoxinA) is an injectable neuro-toxin used for the treatment of chronic migraines, limb spasticity, axillary hyperhidrosis, cervical dystonia, strabismus, and blepharospasm.
The drug is often used to treat Dystonia , Hyperhidrosis .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- shortness of breath,
- chest pain,
- cough,
- sore throat,
- irregular heartbeat,
- trouble breathing,
- vision changes,
- eye pain,
- chest tightness,
- unusual or severe muscle weakness,
- difficulty talking or swallowing,
- loss of bladder control,
- hoarse voice,
- drooping eyelids,
- severely dry or irritated eyes,
- light sensitivity,
- pain spreading to the jaw or shoulder,
- pain or burning when urinating,
- trouble emptying the bladder,
- swelling of the eyelids, and
- crusting or drainage from the eyes
