Bontril PDM (phendimetrazine tartrate) is an appetite suppressant, used along with a doctor-approved, reduced-calorie diet, exercise, and a behavior change program to help patients lose weight. Bontril PDM is used in people who are significantly overweight (obese) and have not been able to lose enough weight with diet and exercise alone.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• diarrhea,
• dizziness,
• blurred vision,
• constipation,
• dry mouth,
• headache,
• restlessness,
• tremors,
• upset stomach,
• flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling),
• difficulty sleeping (insomnia),
• hyperactivity,
• impotence
• increased or decreased interest in sex, or
