Victrelis (boceprevir capsules)
type of HCV Protease Inhibitors
Victrelis (boceprevir) is a protease inhibitor indicated for the treatment of chronic hepatitis C. Victrelis must not be used as a single therapy and should only be used in combination with peginterferon alfa and ribavirin in adult patients with liver disease.
The drug is often used to treat Hepatitis C , Liver disease .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- severe anemia,
- low levels of white blood cells (neutropenia), and
- blood clots (thromboembolic events)
