Pylera Capsules (bismuth subcitrate potassium)

Pylera (bismuth subcitrate potassium, metronidazole, and tetracycline hydrochloride) is a combination of a mineral and two antibiotics used to treat stomach ulcers associated with H pylori infection. Pylera is usually used together with omeprazole (Prilosec).

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • dizziness,
  • diarrhea,
  • upset stomach,
  • abdominal pain,
  • changes in taste,
  • vaginal itching or discharge, or
  • diarrhea or other changes in your stools.
The following drugs are related to Pylera Capsules, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Voquezna (vonoprazan; amoxicillin; clarithromycin / vonoprazan; amoxicillin)
