BiCNU (carmustine)

BiCNU (carmustine) is a cancer (antineoplastic) medication used to treat brain tumors, Hodgkin's disease, multiple myeloma, and non-Hodgkin's lymphoma, and is sometimes given with other cancer medications.

The drug is often used to treat Multiple myeloma .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • skin redness,
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • easy bruising,
  • unusual bleeding,
  • shortness of breath,
  • body aches,
  • tiredness,
  • dizziness,
  • seizure,
  • severe headache,
  • little or no urination,
  • confusion, and
  • dry cough or hack,
  • unexplained weight loss,
  • neck stiffness,
  • increased sensitivity to light,
  • eye redness,
  • severe warmth or tingling under your skin,
  • pain, burning, swelling, or skin changes where the injection was given,
  • slow healing of your incision after implant placement,
  • rapid bur shallow breathing,
  • clubbing (widening and rounding) of your fingertips or toes,
  • sudden vision problems,
  • drowsiness
