Biavax (rubella and mumps virus vaccine live)

Biavax II (rubella and mumps virus vaccine live) is a vaccine used for simultaneous immunization against rubella and mumps in persons 12 months of age or older. A booster is not needed. The brand name Biavax II is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- sore throat
- cough
- fever
- vomiting
- diarrhea, and
- dizziness
- rash
- runny nose
- general feeling of being unwell (malaise)
- injection site reactions (temporary burning, stinging, redness, swelling, and tenderness)
- temporary joint pain
