Zirabev (bevacizumab-bvzr injection)
type of Antineoplastics, VEGF Inhibitor
Zirabev (bevacizumab-bvzr) is a vascular endothelial growth factor inhibitor indicated for the treatment of metastatic colorectal cancer, in combination with intravenous fluorouracil-based chemotherapy for first- or second-line treatment; and metastatic colorectal cancer, in combination with fluoropyrimidine¬irinotecan- or fluoropyrimidine-oxaliplatin-based chemotherapy for second-line treatment in patients who have progressed on a first-line bevacizumab product-containing regimen. Zirabev is biosimilar to Avastin (bevacizumab).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- chills,
- chest pain,
- dizziness,
- vision problems,
- pain spreading to your jaw or shoulder,
- seizure,
- swelling,
- headache,
- wheezing,
- fainting,
- sweating,
- cough,
- chest pain or pressure,
- sore throat,
- mouth sores,
- severe stomach pain,
- rapid weight gain,
- sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
- bloody or tarry stools,
- vomit that looks like coffee grounds,
- skin sores,
- urine that looks foamy,
- puffy eyes,
- swelling in your ankles or feet,
- unusual bleeding (nose, mouth, vagina, rectum),
- urine leakage,
- missed menstrual periods,
- blurred vision, and
- pounding in your neck or ears
- any bleeding that will not stop,
- sudden severe headache,
- problems with your vision or balance,
- stomach pain or swelling,
- chest pain and trouble breathing,
- feeling like you are choking,
- cough up blood,
- extreme weakness or tiredness,
- gagging when you eat or drink,
- pain, swelling, warmth, or redness in on or both legs,
- sudden redness, warmth, swelling, or oozing from your skin,
- any skin wound or surgical incision that will not heal,
