Cystadane (betaine anhydrous)

Cystadane (betaine anhydrous for oral solution) works by decreasing blood levels of homocysteine and is used to reduce homocysteine levels in people with a genetic condition called homocystinuria, in which the amino acid builds up in the body. Cystadane is not a cure for homocysteinuria.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea
- diarrhea
- stomach upset
- unusual body odor, or
- unpleasant taste in your mouth
