Cogentin (benztropine mesylate injection)

Cogentin (benztropine mesylate) is an anti-Parkinson's agent and anticholinergic agent prescribed for treating the symptoms of Parkinson's disease and related drug-induced side effects. Cogentin is available as a generic drug.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • loss of appetite,
  • fever,
  • weight loss,
  • dizziness,
  • blurred vision,
  • dry mouth,
  • little or no urination,
  • hallucinations,
  • eye pain,
  • severe weakness,
  • tunnel vision,
  • severe constipation,
  • fast or pounding heartbeat,

  • severe skin rash,
  • hot and dry skin,
  • heavy sweating,
  • feeling very thirsty and hot
