Bentyl (dicyclomine) is an anticholinergics prescribed for irritable bowel syndrome (IBS). Bentyl is available as a generic drug.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • stomach pain

  • hot or dry skin
  • bloating
  • severe constipation
  • worsening of diarrhea or other irritable bowel syndrome
  • feeling very thirsty or hot
  • inability to urinate
