Benicar HCT (olmesartan medoxomil-hydrochlorothiazide)
type of Angiotensin Receptor Blockers (ARBs), Diuretics, Thiazide
Benicar HCT (olmesartan medoxomil-hydrochlorothiazide) is a combination of an angiotensin II receptor antagonist and a thiazide diuretic (water pill) used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension).
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- vomiting,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- tiredness,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- vision problems,
- fluttering in your chest,
- constipation,
- headache,
- unusual tiredness,
- little or no urination,
- painful or difficult urination,
- dark colored urine,
- swelling in your feet or ankles,
- irregular heartbeats,
- slurred speech,
- eye pain,
- severe weakness,
- loss of coordination,
- feeling unsteady,
- muscle pain,
- leg cramps,
- increased thirst or urination, and
- numbness or tingling
- slow or unusual heart rate,
- loss of movement,
- tenderness or weakness,
