Bendeka (bendamustine hydrochloride injection)

Bendeka (bendamustine hydrochloride) Injection is an alkylating drug indicated for treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL), and indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin lymphoma (NHL) that has progressed during or within six months of treatment with rituximab or a rituximab-containing regimen.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • fever,
  • skin rash,
  • easy bruising,
  • unusual bleeding,
  • pale skin,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • cold hands and feet,
  • confusion,
  • chills,
  • tiredness,
  • right sided upper stomach pain,
  • muscle aches,
  • weakness,
  • sore throat,
  • skin pain,
  • mouth sores,
  • muscle cramps,
  • skin sores,
  • burning in your eyes,
  • feeling unwell,
  • severe weakness,
  • yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • red or purple skin rash that spreads and causes blistering and peeling,
  • itching during or shortly after the injection,
  • severe ongoing nausea,
  • fast or slow heart rate,
  • decreased urination, and
  • swollen glands, 
  • pain, swelling, redness, skin changes, or signs infection where the medicine was injected,
  • tinging in your hands and feet or around your mouth
