Symbenda (bendamustine hydrochloride)
type of Antineoplastics, Alkylating
Symbenda (bendamustine hydrochloride) is an alkylating drug indicated for treatment of patients with chronic lymphocytic leukemia (CLL) and indolent B-cell non-Hodgkin’s lymphoma (NHL) that has progressed during or within six months of treatment with rituximab or a rituximab-containing regimen.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- shortness of breath,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- mouth sores,
- weakness,
- skin rash,
- loss of appetite,
- fever,
- chills,
- pale skin,
- tiredness,
- decreased urination, and
- tingling in your hands and feet or around your mouth
- swollen glands,
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- easy bruising,
- confusion,
- skin sores,
- feeling unwell,
- muscle aches,
- unusual bleeding,
- muscle cramps,
- fast or slow heart rate,
- cold hands and feet,
- right-sided upper stomach pain,
- severe weakness,
- unusual bruising,
- yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
- itching shortly after the injection,
- pain, swelling, redness, skin changes, or signs of infection where the medicine was injected,
- severe ongoing nausea,
- severe ongoing vomiting,
- severe ongoing diarrhea,
