Belbuca (buprenorphine buccal film)

Belbuca (buprenorphine) buccal film contains a partial opioid agonist and is indicated for the management of pain severe enough to require daily, around-the-clock, long-term opioid treatment and for which alternative treatment options are inadequate.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • rash,
  • diarrhea,
  • fever,
  • pale skin,
  • lightheadedness,
  • confusion,
  • chills,
  • stomach pain,
  • dizziness,
  • blurred vision,
  • back pain,
  • headache,
  • nervousness,
  • pounding in the ears,
  • cough,
  • agitation,
  • darkening of the skin,
  • restlessness,
  • vomiting
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • shallow breathing,
  • drowsiness,
  • irregular heartbeat,
  • rapid weight gain,
  • abdominal pain,
  • depression,
  • tremors,
  • frequent urination,
  • loss of coordination,
  • swelling of the face, arms, hands, ankles or feet,
  • blood in your urine,
  • mouth pain,
  • slow or fast heartbeats,
  • tingling in the hands or feet,
  • tiredness or weakness,
  • unusual bruising or bleeding,
  • breathing that stops in your sleep,
  • swelling around the eyes, lips or tongue,
  • extreme excitement,
  • muscle spasms, and
