Blenrep (belantamab mafodotin-blmf for injection)
type of Anti-BCMA Antibodies
Blenrep (belantamab mafodotin-blmf) is a B-cell maturation antigen (BCMA)-directed antibody and microtubule inhibitor conjugate used to treat adult patients with relapsed or refractory multiple myeloma who have received at least 4 prior therapies including an anti-CD38 monoclonal antibody, a proteasome inhibitor, and an immunomodulatory agent.
The drug is often used to treat Multiple myeloma .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- blurred vision,
- joint pain,
- back pain,
- fatigue,
- keratopathy (corneal epithelium changes on eye exam),
- decreased visual acuity,
- infusion-related reactions,
- decreased platelets,
- decreased lymphocytes,
- decreased hemoglobin,
- decreased neutrophils,
- increased creatinine,
- increased gamma-glutamyl transferase,
- dry eyes, constipation,
- decreased appetite, and
- upper respiratory tract infection
