Balversa (erdafitinib tablets)

Balversa (erdafitinib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with locally advanced or metastatic urothelial carcinoma that has susceptible FGFR3 or FGFR2 genetic alterations, and progressed during or following at least one line of prior platinum-containing chemotherapy including within 12 months of neoadjuvant or adjuvant platinum-containing chemotherapy.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • itching,
  • rash,
  • vomiting,
  • shortness of breath,
  • body aches,
  • tiredness,
  • vision problems,
  • trouble sleeping,
  • feeling like something is in your eye,
  • muscle stiffness,
  • increased sensitivity to light,
  • eye pain or redness,
  • watery eyes,
  • numbness or tingling around your mouth,
  • vision loss,
  • painful or irritated eyelids,
  • pain or bleeding from your finger or toe nails,
  • separation of the nails from the skin (nail bed),
  • unusual breakage of your nails,
  • changes in nail color or texture, and
  • cracks or infection in your cuticles
