Balcoltra (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets and ferrous bisglycinate tablets) is a progestin/estrogen combined oral contraceptive (COC) indicated for use by females of reproductive potential to prevent pregnancy.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • dark urine,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • rapid breathing,
  • fainting,
  • increased thirst,
  • increased urination,
  • mood changes,
  • unusual sweating,
  • severe dizziness
  • sudden dizziness,
  • yellowing of the eyes or skin (jaundice),
  • new or worsening depression,
  • lumps in the breast,
  • severe abdominal pain,
  • chest, jaw, left arm pain,
  • unusual changes in vaginal bleeding (continuous spotting, heavy bleeding),
  • pain, swelling, warmth in the groin or calf, and

  • Chateal (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets)
  • Deblitane (norethindrone tablets)
  • Orsythia (levonorgestrel and ethinyl estradiol tablets)
  • Wymzya Fe (norethindrone and ethinyl estradiol tablets (chewable) and ferrous fumarate] tablets)
