Bactroban Ointment (mupirocin)

Bactroban Ointment (mupirocin ointment) is a topical (for the skin) antibiotic used to treat infections of the skin such as impetigo. Bactroban Ointment is available in generic form.
The drug is often used to treat Impetigo .
This drug may have the following side effects:
- rash,
- severe itching,
- severe stomach pain,
- diarrhea that is watery or bloody,
- irritation of treated skin,
- unusual skin blistering or peeling, and
- signs of a new skin infection
