Lioresal Intrathecal (baclofen injection)

Lioresal-Intrathecal (baclofen) Injection is a muscle relaxant and antispastic used to treat stiff or rigid muscles (spasticity). Lioresal-Intrathecal is available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • lightheadedness,
  • dizziness,
  • vomiting,
  • constipation,
  • low blood pressure,
  • drowsiness,
  • muscle weakness, 
  • convulsions,
  • sleepiness,
  • decreased muscle tone,
  • numbness and tingling, and
  • confusion.
The following drugs are related to Lioresal Intrathecal, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Gablofen (baclofen injection)
  • Neurontin (gabapentin)
  • Lyrica (pregabalin)
  • Savella (milnacipran hcl tablets)
  • Neosporin-GU (neomycin sulfate solution for irrigation)
  • Ultracet (tramadol hydrochloride and acetaminophen tablets)
