Tice (bacillus of calmette and guerin)

Tice BCG Live is an attenuated, live culture preparation of the Bacillus of Calmette and Guerin (BCG) strain of Mycobacterium bovis bacteria used to treat bladder cancer that is localized (has not spread to other parts of the body). Tice BCG vaccine may be available in generic form.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • upper stomach pain,
  • dark urine,
  • vomiting,
  • fever,
  • chills,
  • flu-like symptoms,
  • weakness,
  • cough,
  • pain or burning when you urinate,
  • feeling unwell,
  • yellowing of your skin or eyes (jaundice),
  • frequent urination,
  • blood in your urine,
  • bloating, and
  • weak stream of urine,
  • aches,
  • trouble emptying your bladder,
  • sudden urges to urinate,
  • stomach discomfort,
  • loss of bladder control

  • Priftin (rifapentine)
The following supplements are related to Tice, and may be used together with the drug:
  • Fish Oil (s.)
