Cayston (aztreonam) for Inhalation Solution is an antibiotic used to improve breathing symptoms in people who have cystic fibrosis and a certain bacteria in their lungs.

The drug is often used to treat Cystic fibrosis .

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• wheezing,
• chest tightness,
• trouble breathing right after using the medicine, and
• worsening symptoms

The following drugs are related to Cayston, either as a replacement or used together:

• Trikafta (lexacaftor, tezacaftor and ivacaftor tablets; ivacaftor tablets)
• Tobramycin Injection (tobramycin injection)
