Azedra (iobenguane i 131 injection)

Azedra (iobenguane I 131) is a radioactive therapeutic agent indicated for the treatment of adult and pediatric patients 12 years and older with iobenguane scan positive, unresectable, locally advanced or metastatic pheochromocytoma or paraganglioma who require systemic anticancer therapy.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • fever,
  • easy bruising,
  • unusual bleeding,
  • pale skin,
  • shortness of breath,
  • weight gain,
  • cough,
  • unusual tiredness,
  • sore throat,
  • mouth sores,
  • extreme tiredness,
  • skin sores,
  • dry skin,
  • lightheadedness, and
  • dry cough,
  • purple or red spots under your skin,
  • cold hands and feet
  • muscle pain or weakness,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, ,
  • chest pressure,
  • joint pain or stiffness,
  • horse voice,
  • increased sensitivity to cold temperatures,
