Onureg (azacitidine tablets)
type of Antineoplastics DNA Methylation Inhibitor
Onureg (azacitidine) is a nucleoside metabolic inhibitor indicated for continued treatment of adult patients with acute myeloid leukemia who achieved first complete remission (CR) or complete remission with incomplete blood count recovery (CRi) following intensive induction chemotherapy and are not able to complete intensive curative therapy.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- itching,
- dark urine,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- fever,
- easy bruising,
- unusual bleeding,
- pale skin,
- lightheadedness,
- shortness of breath,
- cold hands and feet,
- chills,
- tiredness,
- clay-colored stools,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- chest pain,
- fluttering in your chest,
- constipation,
- weakness,
- little or no urination,
- increased thirst,
- increased urination,
- muscle weakness,
- mouth sores,
- swelling in your feet or ankles,
- muscle cramps,
- irregular heartbeats,
- skin sores,
- severe ongoing nausea,
- tingling in your hands and feet or around your mouth
- cough with mucus,
- leg cramps,
- numbness or tingling,
- limp feeling,
- blood in your urine,
- fast or slow heart rate, and
- redness, swelling, warmth, oozing, or other signs of skin infection,
- pain in your lower back,
