Axumin (fluciclovine F 18) injection is a radioactive diagnostic agent indicated for positron emission tomography (PET) imaging in men with suspected prostate cancer recurrence based on elevated blood prostate specific antigen (PSA) levels following prior treatment.

The drug is often used to treat Prostate cancer .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • itching,
  • dizziness,
  • cough,
  • trouble swallowing,
  • chest pain or pressure,
  • fast heartbeat,
  • skin rash, and
  • unusual tiredness or weakness
