Axiron (testosterone topical solution)

Axiron (testosterone) is a male hormone (an androgen) used as a testosterone replacement for men who are testosterone deficient.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • headache,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • weakness,
  • mood changes,
  • watery eyes,
  • skin redness or irritation at the application site,
  • breast tenderness,
  • increased blood pressure, and
  • increased red blood cell count,
  • increase in PSA (prostate-specific antigen),
  • increase in blood hematocrit,
  • increased blood testosterone.

  • AndroGel (testosterone gel for topical use)
  • Aveed (testosterone undecanoate injection)
  • Methitest (methyltestosterone tablets, usp)
  • Natesto (testosterone nasal gel)

  • Vogelxo (testosterone gel)
