Axid (nizatidine)
type of Histamine H2 Antagonists
Axid (nizatidine) is a histamine antagonist indicated for up to 8 weeks treatment of active duodenal ulcer. In most patients, the ulcer will heal within 4 weeks. Axid is available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache,
- dizziness,
- diarrhea,
- runny or stuffy nose,
- sore throat, or
- rash,
- cough.

- Nexium (esomeprazole magnesium)
- Esomeprazole Magnesium Capsules (esomeprazole magnesium)
- Nexium I.V. (esomeprazole sodium)
- Pepcid (famotidine)
- Zantac 360 (famotidine)
- Pepcid Injection (famotidine injection)
- Glycate Tablets (glycopyrrolate)
- Konvomep (omeprazole and sodium bicarbonate for oral suspension)
- Reglan ODT (metoclopramide orally disintegrating tablets)
- Talicia (omeprazole magnesium, amoxicillin and rifabutin delayed-release capsules)
- Protonix (pantoprazole)
