Avinza (morphine sulfate)

Avinza (morphine sulfate) is a narcotic pain reliever used to treat moderate to severe pain. Short-acting morphine is taken as needed for pain. Extended-release morphine is for use when around-the-clock pain relief is needed.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- headache,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- vomiting,
- diarrhea,
- constipation,
- loss of appetite,
- weight loss,
- flushing (warmth, redness, or tingly feeling),
- stomach pain,
- sleep problems (insomnia), or
- drowsiness,
- memory problems,
- spinning sensation,
- strange dreams.
