Avalide (irbesartan-hydrochlorothiazide)
type of Alpha Blockers, Antihypertensives, Diuretics, Thiazide, Angiotensin II Agonists
Avalide (irbesartan w/ hydrochlorothiazide) is a combination of an angiotensin II receptor blocker and a thiazide diuretic (water pill) prescribed for the treatment of high blood pressure.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache,
- lightheadedness,
- dizziness,
- blurred vision,
- weakness,
- runny or stuffy nose,
- drowsiness,
- sore throat, or
- confusion,
- fainting,
- muscle pain,
- heartburn,
- stomach upset or pain,
- unusual thirst,
- fast heartbeat,
- decreased sexual ability,
- dry cough.
