Austedo (deutetrabenazine) is a vesicular monoamine transporter 2 (VMAT2) inhibitor indicated for the treatment of chorea associated with Huntington's disease.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- shortness of breath,
- confusion,
- fluttering in your chest,
- sweating,
- agitation,
- irritableness,
- hostility,
- aggression,
- thoughts of self-harm,
- very stiff (rigid) muscles,
- high fever,
- fast or uneven heartbeats,
- tremors, and
- lightheadedness
- extreme tiredness,
- shaking,
- fast or pounding heartbeats,
- sudden dizziness,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- tremors,
- muscle stiffness,
- changes in weight or appetite,
- crying spells,
- feelings of low self-worth,
- loss of interest in things you once enjoyed,
- new sleep problems,
- feelings of hopeless,
- feelings of guilt,
- severe restlessness,
- problems with balance or coordination,
