Auryxia (ferric citrate tablets)

Auryxia (ferric citrate) is a phosphate binder used for the control of serum phosphorus levels in patients with chronic kidney disease on dialysis.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • nausea,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • constipation,
  • cough, and
  • dark stools (related to the iron content).
