Atryn (recombinant lyophilized powder)

ATryn (recombinant lyophilized powder) is a recombinant human antithrombin used to prevent peri-operative and peri-partum thromboembolic events in hereditary antithrombin deficient patients. ATryn does not treat thromboembolic events in hereditary antithrombin deficient patients.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hemorrhage
- infusion site reaction (itching)
- feeling hot
- non-cardiac chest pain
- abnormal liver enzymes
- bleeding into a joint
- blood in the urine, and
- blood clot.
