DuoDote (atropine and pralidoxime chloride injection) is indicated for the treatment of poisoning by organophosphorus chemical nerve agents as well as organophosphorus insecticide poisoning. Patients should not rely on DuoDote to provide complete protection from chemical nerve agents and insecticide poisoning.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- headache
- flushing
- dizziness
- constipation
- dry eyes
- blurred vision
- skin rash
- drowsiness
- muscle weakness
- dry skin
- bloating
- stomach or abdominal pain
- fast heart rate
- confusion
- impotence
- dry mouth
- dry nose
- increased sensitivity of eyes to light
- heart palpitations
- urinary hesitancy or retention
- nausea and vomiting
- loss of interest in sex, and
