Atripla (efavirenz/emtricitabine/tenofovir disoproxil fumarate) is an antiviral medication that treats HIV, which causes acquired immunodeficiency syndrome (AIDS). Atripla is not a cure for HIV or AIDS.

The drug is often used to treat HIV .

  • red or purple skin rash with blistering and peeling

  • severe depression
  • thoughts of hurting yourself or others
  • increased thirst and urination
  • swelling around your midsection
