Lipitor (atorvastatin calcium)
type of Lipid-Lowering Agents, Statins, HMG-CoA Reductase Inhibitors
Lipitor (atorvastatin) is a statin used for the treatment of elevated total cholesterol, LDL, triglycerides, and to elevate HDL cholesterol.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- upper stomach pain,
- loss of appetite,
- dark urine,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice),
- weakness,
- feeling tired,
- pain or burning when you urinate,
- swelling in your feet or ankles, and
- little or no urinating,
- short of breath
