Ativan Injection (lorazepam injection)

Ativan (lorazepam) Injection is a benzodiazepine with antianxiety, sedative, and anticonvulsant effects used for the treatment of status epilepticus, as well as in adult patients for preanesthetic medication, producing sedation (sleepiness or drowsiness), relief of anxiety, and a decreased ability to recall events related to the day of surgery.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- dark urine,
- yellowing of the skin or eyes (jaundice)
- confusion,
- severe drowsiness,
- drowsiness,
- aggression,
- thoughts of self-harm,
- hallucinations,
- vision changes,
- unusual changes in mood or behavior,
- blue colored lips,
- slow breathing with long pauses,
- difficult to wake up,
- dizziness, and
- sleep problems,
- sudden restless feeling or excitement,
