Tenormin I.V. Injection (atenolol inj)
type of Beta-Blockers, Beta-1 Selective
Tenormin IV Injection (atenolol) is a beta-blocker used mainly for control of hypertension, angina, for management of acute myocardial infarction and occasionally for thyroid storm management. The brand name drug Tenormin is no longer available in the U.S. It may be available in generic form.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- shortness of breath,
- dizziness,
- constipation,
- dry mouth,
- fatigue,
- swelling
- confusion, and
- lightheadedness
- insomnia,
- depression,
- impotence,
- feeling lightheaded,
- faintness,
- lethargy,
- mild slow heart rate,
- nightmares,
- indigestion,
- cold feeling in the hands and feet,
- dizziness
- anxiety
- nervousness
- nausea
- Tired feeling
- Slow heart rate
- Depression
- Decreased sex drive
- Impotence
- Difficulty having an orgasm
- Sleep problems (insomnia)
- Mild shortness of breath
