Atacand (candesartan cilexetil)

Atacand (candesartan cilexetil) is a selective AT1 subtype angiotensin II receptor antagonist used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension) in adults and children 1 to less than 17 years of age.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• nausea,
• lightheadedness,
• chest pain,
• weakness,
• little or no urination,
• swelling in your feet or ankles,
• irregular heartbeats,
• fast or slow heartbeats,
• shortness of breath
• tingly feeling,
• unusual muscle pain or weakness,
• loss of movements,
• feeling tired, and
