Hismanal (astemizole) is an antihistamine used to treat allergies, hives (urticaria), and other allergic inflammatory conditions. The brand name Hismanal is discontinued, but generic versions may be available.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- nausea,
- diarrhea,
- dizziness,
- weight gain,
- headache,
- fatigue,
- nervousness,
- drowsiness,
- dry mouth,
- dry skin,
- abdominal discomfort or pain,
- joint pain
- itchiness,
- increased appetite,
- sore throat, and
