Astagraf XL (tacrolimus) Extended-Release Capsules is a macrolide immunosuppressant used with other medicines to help prevent organ rejection in people who have had a kidney transplant.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • nausea,
  • loss of appetite,
  • fever,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • chills,
  • tiredness,
  • chest pain,
  • fluttering in your chest,
  • seizure,
  • pounding in your neck or ears,
  • muscle aches,
  • flu-like symptoms,
  • sweating,
  • weakness,
  • cough,
  • little or no urination,
  • increased thirst,
  • increased urination,
  • fruity breath odor,
  • headaches,
  • swelling in your feet or ankles,
  • drowsiness,
  • irregular heartbeats,
  • vision changes,
  • fast or pounding heartbeats,
  • sudden dizziness,
  • hunger,
  • general ill feeling,
  • pale skin, and
  • loss of movement,
  • muscle weakness or limp feeling,
  • cold hands and feet
  • bone pain,
  • behavior changes,
  • pain or swelling near your transplanted organ,
  • jerky muscle movements,
  • slow reflexes,
  • painful skin sores,
  • skin warmth or redness,
