Scemblix (asciminib tablets)
type of Antineoplastic Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors
Scemblix (asciminib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic phase (CP), previously treated with two or more tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and Ph+ CML in CP with the T315I mutation.
This drug may have the following side effects:
- shortness of breath,
- chest pain,
- nausea,
- headache,
- vomiting,
- skin rash,
- fever,
- stomach pain,
- weight gain,
- hives,
- difficulty breathing,
- swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
- easy bruising,
- confusion,
- flushing,
- unusual bleeding,
- severe dizziness,
- black or tarry stools,
- pancreatitis,
- severe stomach pain
- persistent sore throat,
- blood in the urine,
- any bleeding,
- fast or abnormal heartbeat,
- heart attack,
- stroke,
- blood clots or blockage,
- heart failure,
- swelling in the ankles or feet,
- numbness or weakness on one side of their body,
- decreased vision,
- loss of vision,
- trouble talking,
- pain in your arms, legs, back, neck, or jaw, and
