Scemblix (asciminib tablets)

type of Antineoplastic Tyrosine Kinase Inhibitors

Scemblix (asciminib) is a kinase inhibitor indicated for the treatment of adult patients with Philadelphia chromosome-positive chronic myeloid leukemia (Ph+ CML) in chronic phase (CP), previously treated with two or more tyrosine kinase inhibitors (TKIs) and Ph+ CML in CP with the T315I mutation. 

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • shortness of breath,
  • chest pain,
  • nausea,
  • headache,
  • vomiting,
  • skin rash,
  • fever,
  • stomach pain,
  • weight gain,
  • hives, 
  • difficulty breathing, 
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat, 
  • easy bruising, 
  • confusion, 
  • flushing,
  • unusual bleeding, 
  • severe dizziness, 
  • black or tarry stools, 
  • pancreatitis,
  • severe stomach pain
  • persistent sore throat, 
  • blood in the urine,
  • any bleeding, 
  • fast or abnormal heartbeat, 
  • heart attack, 
  • stroke, 
  • blood clots or blockage, 
  • heart failure, 
  • swelling in the ankles or feet, 
  • numbness or weakness on one side of their body, 
  • decreased vision, 
  • loss of vision, 
  • trouble talking, 
  • pain in your arms, legs, back, neck, or jaw, and

  • Symbenda (bendamustine hydrochloride)

  • Kymriah (tisagenlecleucel suspension for intravenous infusion)
  • Purixan (mercaptopurine oral suspension)
  • Oncaspar (pegaspargase)
