Asacol (mesalamine delayed-release tablets)

Asacol (mesalamine) is an anti-inflammatory drug used to treat ulcerative colitis, proctitis, and proctosigmoiditis, and is also used to prevent the symptoms of ulcerative colitis from recurring.

The drug is often used to treat Ulcerative colitis .

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • headache,
  • dizziness,
  • vomiting,
  • diarrhea,
  • sore throat,
  • constipation,
  • fever,
  • skin rash.
  • gas,
  • stomach cramps,
  • tired feeling, or
  • flu-like symptoms,
  • mild nausea,
