Artiss [fibrin sealant (human)] is indicated to adhere autologous skin grafts to surgically prepared wound beds resulting from burns in adult and pediatric populations greater than or equal to 1 year of age.

This drug may have the following side effects:

• hives,
• difficulty breathing,
• swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
• nausea,
• itching,
• vomiting,
• lightheadedness,
• confusion,
• chest pain,
• numbness,
• dizziness,
• wheezing,
• cough,
• agitation,
• sudden numbness or weakness (especially on one side of the body),
• slurred speech,
• problems with vision or balance,
• chest tightness,
• fast or slow heartbeats,
• warmth,
• redness,
• tingly feeling,
• gasping for breath,
• sudden severe headache,
• extreme fear,
• panic,
• blue-colored appearance of your skin or lips,
• spinning sensation, and
• redness, itching, irritation, or slow healing of the skin wound or treated area

The following drugs are related to Artiss, either as a replacement or used together:

• Astero (lidocaine hydrochloride hydrogel + topical anesthetic)
• Tisseel (fibrinogen human, human thrombin kit)
