Orabloc (articaine hcl and epinephrine injection)

Orabloc (articaine HCl and epinephrine) is a combination an amide local anesthetic and a vasoconstrictor indicated for local, infiltrative, or conductive anesthesia in both simple and complex dental procedures in adults and pediatric patients 4 years of age and older.

This drug may have the following side effects:
  • hives,
  • difficulty breathing,
  • swelling of your face, lips, tongue, or throat,
  • itching,
  • rash,
  • lightheadedness,
  • shortness of breath,
  • confusion,
  • tiredness,
  • chest pain,
  • wheezing,
  • fainting,
  • weakness,
  • restlessness,
  • drowsiness,
  • seizures,
  • anxiety,
  • red, swollen, blistered, or peeling skin with or without fever,
  • difficulty swallowing or talking,
  • unusual hoarseness,
  • ringing in your ears,
  • depression, and
  • sleepiness,
  • severe dizziness,
  • blue or gray color of the lips, nails, or skin,
  • blurry vision,
  • shakiness,
  • tightness in your chest or throat,
  • abnormal heartrate,
  • very bad headache,
  • numbness or tingling in or around the mouth that lasts or gets worse
The following drugs are related to Orabloc, either as a replacement or used together:
  • Vicodin (hydrocodone and acetaminophen)
  • Vicodin ES (hydrocodone bitartrate and acetaminophen)
  • Motrin (ibuprofen)
  • Percocet (oxycodone and acetaminophen)
  • Ultram (tramadol hcl)
  • Ultram ER (tramadol hcl extended-release)
